This selection of images is of my mother. These are some of my favourite images because they capture the natural beauty of my mum in its purest form. There is minimal-to-no editing on these images as I wanted to keep her features exactly as their are. The simplicity of these photographs creates a calming aesthetic and also embodies her characteristics as a person. Working on this photoshoot was interesting as a lot of my previous portrait work was very vibrant and commercial.
These images are of my youngest sister and have a similar meaning behind them as the selection of my mother. These images were originally taken as practise shots for a university module based around creating book covers, but quickly turned into a personal project based around family members. These are some of my favourite images of my sister as they show the youthful, carefree, happy side of her. They show her happiest side and a glimmer of confidence within.
